Blueberry Bang

This has got to be one of the best breakfast smoothie combos… ever!!

I always make a super big one (about 700-800mL’s) to have for breakfast on my way to work.

It’s filling, fruity, full of antioxidants, protein, and good fats. YUM! and that colour!!

adding oats to your smoothie is a perfect and cheap way to keep you full until lunch 🙂

blueberry smoothie

 

Ingredients for one big smoothie- or two small ones

2 large frozen ripe organic bananas (I like mine to be super ripe so its extra tasty)

1/2 cup frozen organic blueberries

1/3 cup oats

1 tsp chia seeds

6-8 ice cubes

1/2 cup coconut water

splash of coconut/almond/soy milk (I used coconut here)

1 tsp raw honey

1-2 tbsp vegan vanilla protein powder (or whichever protein powder you normally would use)

 

simple, 1 step!

blend all the ingredients in your blender until completely smooth, add extra coconut water if its too thick. and boom! breaky done!

 

now your powered up for the new day ahead of you!
